Research Projects

Research Projects

Projects and collaborations are the key parameters for measuring progress of any organization. The BCI will work for developing project proposals for resolving different problems of the clinical research community and will also seek national and international collaboration for ensuring efficient research in the field of biomedical sciences. The projects will be completed in a time-bound manner, and efforts will be made to publish the findings in reputed journals.

BC extends its collaboration with various clinical researchers and institutions to offer consultancy services. BC would guide them starting from planning for research project to achieve final outcome (reports/manuscript/policy) and will guide them in various stages.

  • Drafting protocol for various areas of biomedical research
  • STS grant writing for ICMR
  • Applying for funding for various funding organization for biomedical research in the following area
  • Procedural guidance on clinical trials
  • Non-communicable diseases and infectious diseases
  • Conduct of observational studies.
  • Large surveys
  • Nutrition surveys
  • Systematic reviews/meta-analyses

There are many challenges to get grants for research project. BCI has identified some of them and would help researchers to improve on areas such

  • Establishing rationale for a research question/justification of topic
  • Appropriate objective statement
  • Sections in methodology
    • Determining sample size; justification of sample size
    • Sampling/randomization.
    • Drafting the procedural details
    • Planning for statistical analysis based on types of data and the research questions expected to be answered by the research
  • Drafting publications
